ALEXANDER WANG | SS26

(New York)

Alexander Wang made his highly anticipated return to #NewYorkFashionWeek, presenting his first runway show since 2018. The collection, titled ‘The Matriarch’, was a tribute to his mother and staged at Chinatown’s historic 58 Bowery, coinciding with the brand’s 20th anniversary.

The venue’s dramatic architectural interior set the stage, though the brief was to keep the atmosphere deliberately moody and understated until the afterparty, when the space was celebrated and bathed in deep crimson red. To preserve the dark, intimate environment of the catwalk within a tightly packed space, we used 12 remote follow spots. Overhead, drones equipped with high-intensity gimbal-mounted spotlights tracked the models in motion. Monster Drones customised their fleet for the event, integrating onboard lighting systems with remote controls.
