STONE ISLAND | SELECTED WORKS ‘982 – ‘024
(Frieze Art Fair, Los Angeles)
Stone Island archival exhibition held in Los Angeles during the Frieze Art Fair in early 2024. The installation transformed Los Angeles’ Buttercup Studios into a dark, industrial environment filled with low-frequency audio. The exhibition utilised precise, high-contrast downlighting to accentuate the technical textures of over 40 rare garments. Its focal point was a dramatic, suspended grid of 35 Pure Metal Shell jackets that resembled a regiment of futuristic armor, bridging the brand’s historical archive with modern community spaces such as a pop-up shop and live DJ booths.
